General information
Fashion Design and Engineering is a practical discipline with apparel material, fashion design, apparel production; production management and apparel business. It was established in 1988 and was granted to produce post graduates in 2005. It was the earliest discipline to produce post graduates in Fashion Design & Fashion engineering in Hebei Province. The Fashion Design and engineering program has a 21 teachers-team including 6 directors, 3 professors, and 7 associate professors. Most of the teachers have the experience of studying aboard. Many labs are supplied to support MA program such as room for apparel CAD, art-work room, dyeing-design room.
Role and purpose
The specialism of fashion design and engineering aims at cultivating professionals who have technological expertise in apparel production. On one hand these people will work in the existing manufacturing sector of the industry, on the other hand, they will satisfy the need of industry for technology experts in the areas of quality control and production coordination and management.
