1. ROLE AND PURPOSE
As a Type of physique art, fashion show requires models to have well-balanced figure and good body balancing ability. Physique training is purposed to help students lose weight and maintain good shape by means of enhanced exercises to different portions, thereby to assure students to have well-proportioned figure and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent courses such as Dance Training and Fashion Show.
2. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1. Rod exercises: the students are required to master the key points of correct standing posture like thrusting the chest forward, contracting the abdomen, managing well the relation between the power leg and the motion leg and controlling the center of gravity, so as to prepare well for the further exercises.
2. Off-rod skill exercises: the students are required to have good flexibility, good controllability to the center of gravity and great coordination, able to complete technical movements in a relatively coordinative way.

1. ROLE AND PURPOSE
  The basis of fashion show is an important course for the students majoring in Fashion Design and Performing. It is a main subject to teach students how to take hold of images, bodies and felling to show the garment style, frame, material, color and the designers’ conceiving skills. In this unit, students accumulate practical experiences through learning special courses, taking hold of skills at performance and specialized attainment which models must grasp. The prerequisite courses are sketch, color, costume pattern, the basis of shape and music.
2. LEARNING OUTCOMES
1.         Know the professional quality a model must master.
2.         Through the learning of the basic knowledge like T-runway show, posing and turn-back, a model masters the basic performance skills and special quality.
3.         Develop professional qualities and abilities to express the design implication accurately. Combine the knowledge with practice.

Teachers train students’ skills on run-way, teach them one by one, set the fault pose right, and take hold of the skills on playing on the run-way with the music of slow speed, middle speed and fast speed. Right poses and good turn-back at the front stage. This course requires students to make use of expression to finish fashions of different music and style.

1. ROLE AND PURPOSE
  Apparel Parts Design is the focus of apparel design, an important technology to fashion modeling from imagine to the design thinking. The ultimate goal is working efficiently and accurately for the industrialization of the clothing production, so that students’ awareness of the modeling design can be improved in practical design applications.   Apparel Construction Design (paper pattern design) is one of three modern garment engineering. It is the intermediate link from fashion design to garment processing. Fashion draping is one of the two major methods of clothing structure design. The clothing structure can be created directly according to the idea of designer in the human body model. Fashion draping has advantages of flexible operation and good three-dimensional sensation, often alternated with the plane cutting for complementing each other.
Fashion draping is a professional basic course of clothing engineering, the task of which is to make an intuitive and three-dimensional exhibit of the clothing style, structure, proportion using three-dimensional cutting mode. 1. ROLE AND PURPOSE
This course is a subject to research and explore the basic principle and basic knowledge about the nature, characteristics, effects and the development rule of the art. 1. ROLE AND PURPOSE
  As an important course for Fashion Design and Performance major, this course is purposed for students to study and master the overall planning proposal as well as the organizing and directing procedure of fashion show and to know some excellent directing examples both in China and abroad with the aid of tutorial VCDs. On the basis of theoretical study, it is expected to improve the creative mental competence as well as fashion-show planning, organizing and directing competences of students.
2. LEARNING OUTCOMES
  On the basis of the course study, the students are required to know the overall directing procedure of a fashion show and be competent in planning, organizing and directing a fashion show independently. In the creative practice, the emphasis is put on improving the innovative thinking pattern of students and the ability of discovering the details in favor of inspiration of creation in daily life, thereby to enhance the students' aesthetic consciousness and directing or creation level. It is also required to train students' individual design thinking pattern by enhancing the expression skills and inspiring the innovation consciousness. The teaching method must link theory with practice. Specifically, it is encouraged to use audio-visual aids in response to the teaching plan, e.g., associated after-school books, images, excellent design references, VCDs and video tapes.
